An important principle of the company is to be part of the local community and to use as many local companies as possible to supply goods and services for the company.

We regularly spend time at Ashcombe School in Dorking working with Year 10 pupils during Business Week.  The pupils get to try out what its like to run a business for a few days as part of learning what the world of work is like.

Another important principle is to be involved with a charity.  Hoolock Consulting will give a fixed percentage of its revenue each year to a nominated charity.

In 2018, we are supporting two charities this year.  In the first half of the year, we donated to Shelter as part of our cycle from London to Brighton. Overall, we raised over £700. In the second half of the year, we are donating food to the Dorking Foodbank to support local people in need.

In 2017, we are supporting Prospect Hospice in Swindon. The Hospice cares for terminally ill people and does a fantastic job, having looked after my brother-in-law last year.   I am pleased to say that we have donated £300 to the Hospice.  Please click here for more details about the hospice.

In 2016, the nominated charity was the CJD Support Network.  The CJD Support Network is a patient support group providing help and support for people with all strains of Creutzfeld-Jakob disease, their carers and concerned professionals.  I am pleased to say that we have donated £82.27 to the CJD Support Network.  Please click here to see more about what they do.
